These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Faith Companion mobile application (“Faith Companion,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Hien Dao. By downloading, accessing, or using Faith Companion, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
Faith Companion is a Bible reading, reflection, prayer, journal, reading-plan, and optional AI-powered guidance application. Some features work offline without an account. Other features, including Online Guidance, cloud backup, purchases, and online audio, may require an internet connection, a verified account, or both.
You are responsible for using Faith Companion in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.
Faith Companion is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not create an account or provide personal information through the app.
If you use Faith Companion on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Some features require you to create an account and verify your email address. You are responsible for:
providing accurate account information;
keeping your login credentials secure;
maintaining control of your account; and
promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
We may suspend or terminate access to an account when reasonably necessary to protect Faith Companion, its users, or the service.
Faith Companion may offer optional Online Guidance features, including Scripture Chat and personalized prayer generation. These features may use Seeds, which are in-app usage credits.
Online Guidance is intended for personal reflection and encouragement. It is not pastoral, medical, mental-health, legal, emergency, or crisis advice. Do not rely on Online Guidance as a substitute for professional care, emergency services, or qualified pastoral support.
Do not submit highly sensitive personal information through Online Guidance. You remain responsible for the text and content you submit.
We may apply reasonable usage limits, including limits related to Seeds, rate limits, abuse prevention, account verification, or service availability.
Faith Companion may offer a one-time Trial Seed allowance to eligible users. Trial Seed availability, amount, and eligibility are determined by Faith Companion and may change or end at any time where permitted by law.
Trial Seeds have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money, refunds, or other items.
Faith Companion may offer one-time Seed packs and automatically renewing subscriptions through the applicable app store.
Prices, subscription terms, available plans, and included Seeds are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is charged through your app-store account. We do not process or store your full payment-card information.
For auto-renewing subscriptions:
payment is charged when you confirm the purchase;
the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period;
your app-store account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period;
you can manage or cancel your subscription in your app-store account settings; and
deleting Faith Companion does not cancel an active subscription.
Seed packs and Seeds are digital, in-app items. Except where required by law or by the applicable app store’s policies, purchases are final and non-refundable.
Restoring purchases may restore eligible purchases associated with the same app-store account. We do not guarantee restoration where the app store cannot confirm the purchase or entitlement.
We may modify, add, suspend, or discontinue features, Seed amounts, plans, prices, or eligibility requirements. Changes to an active subscription are handled in accordance with applicable app-store rules.
We may also change or discontinue Online Guidance if necessary for security, legal compliance, service reliability, or product improvement.
You may create or store content in Faith Companion, such as notes, journal entries, prayer reflections, bookmarks, reading progress, and messages submitted to Online Guidance (“Your Content”).
You retain ownership of Your Content. You give us a limited right to process Your Content only as needed to provide the features you choose to use, including private cloud backup and optional Online Guidance.
You must not use Faith Companion to submit, create, store, or share content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, infringing, deceptive, or intended to interfere with the service.
Faith Companion, including its design, software, branding, interfaces, text, and original content, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use Faith Companion for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, lease, or exploit any part of Faith Companion except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
Bible translations, audio, and other third-party content may be subject to their own licenses, attribution requirements, or terms.
We aim to keep Faith Companion available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, internet connectivity, third-party services, or circumstances outside our control.
We may release updates to improve security, functionality, or compatibility. Some features may require you to install the latest version of the app.

By using Faith Companion, you acknowledge that we may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Faith Companion is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Faith Companion does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, theological interpretation, availability, or suitability of any content, AI-generated response, reading plan, audio, or other feature.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faith Companion and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
You may stop using Faith Companion at any time. You may delete your account through the app settings where that feature is available.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Faith Companion if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security risks, or where reasonably necessary to comply with law.
Termination does not automatically cancel an active app-store subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through your app-store account settings.
We may update these Terms as features, business practices, or legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Faith Companion after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
