About Us
Research Interests
The Vaccine Immunology Laboratory (VIL) at the BRIC-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology adopts a One Health approach to tackle Leptospirosis, a zoonotic disease of significant global importance. Our research integrates advanced immunology, multi-omics, and genome-engineering technologies to elucidate host–pathogen interactions and translate these insights into next-generation vaccines and diagnostics.
With a strong focus on improving the immunogenicity and protective efficacy of existing animal vaccines, VIL is actively engaged in the development of potent, safe, and cost-effective adjuvant formulations. By bridging fundamental discovery with translational research, the laboratory aims to deliver impactful solutions that enhance both animal and human health.
