Dr. Syed M Faisal | Scientist F
BRIC-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad
Dr. Syed M. Faisal is a vaccine immunologist and Principal Investigator at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology whose research bridges host–pathogen biology and translational vaccine design. Trained in biotechnology at Aligarh Muslim University and with research experience at leading U.S. institutions including Cornell University and the University of Iowa, his work focuses on understanding Leptospira–host immune interactions to enable next-generation vaccines and diagnostics. His lab also develops innovative, cost-effective vaccine adjuvants and nanovaccine platforms designed to elicit durable humoral and cellular immunity, with a strong emphasis on zoonotic and veterinary infectious diseases.
Research Focus: Host–pathogen interactions · Vaccine immunology · Adjuvant engineering
