Images can be representations of the characters, a reflection of a conflict that occurs during the course of the story, and/or an image that represents the culture from which the fairy tale derived.
Images can also be included as part of a text box. As long as the text box includes information, it will count as both one of the required images and one of the required text boxes.
Text Boxes
Your padlet should include a minimum of 6 text boxes. The required text boxes should include the following information:
Text Box 1: Title of Story, Country of Origin, Creation Date and Author (If Available)
Text Box 2: Summary - One text box should include a summary of the story.
Text Box 3: Cinderella Comparison - One text box should include a minimum of two similarities between the traditional Cinderella fairy tale and the world fairy tale that you’ve chosen.
Text Box 4: Cinderella Contrast - One text box should include a minimum of two differences between the traditional fairy tale and your world fairy tale.
Text Box 5: Reflections of Culture - A text box should give a minimum of three examples of cultural references included in the world fairy tale. This may include distinct character names, cultural foods, traditions, family structure, and any specific beliefs related to the fairy tale’s country of origin.
Text Box 6: The Moral of the Story - One text box should summarize the story’s theme or an overall message to the reader.
Multimedia
Include a minimum of one multimedia clip.
You can insert YouTube videos featuring facts or interesting cultural information about the fairy tale's country of origin.
Other media ideas include linking to an audio or video version of the story.
Padlet's Appearance
Make sure to select an attractive Padlet wallpaper or background that does not distract from its overall appearance. Check your spelling and grammar of the text in your text boxes. The padlet's appearance will be included as part of your project grade.
