Price Tracker for Amazon ("the extension") is published by Fairtools Labs. This policy explains what the extension does with data. Short version: we do not collect, sell or share your browsing data. The only exception is the optional Pro license check described below.
The following is stored only on your device, in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
The products you chose to track: store domain (e.g. amazon.es), product ID (ASIN), title, image address and currency
The prices observed for those products and when they were observed, and your target prices
Your settings (re-check interval, notifications, theme, on-page button)
If you use Pro: your license key, activation ID, license status and date of the last check (see "Optional Pro upgrade")
Nothing is stored for products you did not choose to track. This data never leaves your browser unless you export it yourself to a file (the only exception is the Pro license key, sent to Lemon Squeezy for verification). Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
The extension makes no requests to Fairtools Labs or to any third party other than the optional Pro license check with Lemon Squeezy described below. There are no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, ads or affiliate links.
To re-check prices in the background, the extension requests the public product page of each product you chose to track, directly from your browser to the corresponding Amazon store. These requests are sent without cookies (not linked to your Amazon account). Amazon's own privacy policy applies to those requests, as it does when you visit Amazon yourself.
Product images shown in the popup are loaded from Amazon's image servers.
storage — keeps your tracked items and settings on your device.
alarms — schedules the periodic background price re-checks.
notifications — shows a notification when a price reaches your target.
Access to Amazon store domains — reads the product and price on Amazon product pages you visit and re-checks the pages you chose to track. The extension has no access to any other website (apart from api.lemonsqueezy.com, an optional permission used only for the license check).
Access to api.lemonsqueezy.com (optional) — not granted at installation. Chrome asks you for it only when you click Activate for a Pro license key; it is used only to activate, check and deactivate that key, as described in "Optional Pro upgrade" below. You can refuse it or remove it at any time; the free features keep working.
The extension does not load or execute remote code. All code is included in the package.
Pro features are optional; the free features keep working without them. Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: Lemon Squeezy runs the checkout and processes the payment, taxes, invoices and refunds, and collects the information needed for the purchase (such as your e-mail address and payment details) under its own privacy policy (https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy). Fairtools Labs never receives your card or bank details. Lemon Squeezy shares with Fairtools Labs the order details needed to deliver your license and give support (such as your name, e-mail address and country); we use them only for that purpose and never sell them.
After buying you receive a license key. The extension contacts Lemon Squeezy only in these cases, sending the request directly from your browser to the Lemon Squeezy License API (api.lemonsqueezy.com), without cookies:
when you paste the key and click Activate: the license key and a generic installation label ("Price Tracker for Amazon (Chrome)");
about once a week while Pro is active: the license key and the activation ID, to check that the license is still valid (if you are offline, Pro keeps working for a grace period);
when you click Deactivate: the license key and the activation ID, to free that activation.
If you do not grant the optional permission, no license request is made.
No browsing data is ever sent: no visited pages, tracked products, prices, settings or history is included in these requests. If you never enter a license key, the extension makes no request to Lemon Squeezy at all.
To make Pro work, the extension stores on your device: the license key, the activation ID returned by Lemon Squeezy, the license status and the date of the last check. They are deleted when you click Deactivate or uninstall the extension.
The extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
For any question or request about personal data (for example, access to or deletion of your Pro order details), write to the address below. Payment data is handled by Lemon Squeezy; you can also contact them directly.
