Children's Garden

Raised beds in Bird Island planted and run by children in 2023 

Raised bed established in 2024 at the Fairfax Community Garden by master gardeners of Renville County (Joy Clobes and Pam McColloy) who helped children plant the vegetables as part of the children's garden

Each child was given a 4' by 4' on the ground also to plant, weed and harvest their plots

A row of onions and potatoes to share was also planted and harvested.

The whole southeast corner of the community garden was designated as the Children's Garden. The zucchini grew large and produced a lot.
