Fair Insurance Pricing Workshop

University of Liverpool

This edition of the Fair Insurance Pricing workshop focuses on the equitable pricing of auto car insurance for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Following a decree from the King of Saudi Arabia, King Salman, June 24, 2018, was the first day for women to drive on the Saudi streets officially. A consequence of this enactment is the incorporation of a large group of drivers with a need for insurance for which claim history is unavailable, making the question of fair insurance pricing of great relevance for the Saudi insurance industry. This session brings together academics and Saudi practitioners to delve into critical mathematical and practical aspects for developing insurance pricing strategies that ensure fairness and transparency in this market.
