For this assignment I had to find examples of cybersecurity breaches in the news. I had to share the articles I found and evaluate the sources they came from. I also took a security training and earned a certificate.

Criminals are either gaining access to NFT developer social media or are creating identical accounts to scam investors. Victims connect their crypto wallets into the spoofed websites and then the criminals clear out their crypto accounts. Investors should be sure that they are communicating with real NFT developers. They should be wary of new investment opportunities that come out of the blue.

My Certificate
I completed the CCBC cybersecurity training. I learned a lot about staying safe online and earned this certificate. My favorite tip was to hover over links and sender email addresses to see the actual link/email. I also learned that there are different layers of protection and I shouldn't rely on just one. A great line in the raining was "The more urgent an email sounds he more likely it is false!" This applies to calls as well. Scammers are good at making this communications sound important and urgent. It's always worth taking a step back and thinking before clicking and responding.
