Description:
The Embassy of Faeroewarick in Huajiangstan extends its heartfelt best wishes to the people of Huajiangstan and Muslims around the world on the occasion of this year's Ramadan.
According to the Qur'an, this month (beginning on 12th March) is when Allah revealed the Qur'an to the Prophet Muhammad, making it the holiest of the 12 months in the Islamic calendar.
The Embassy reminds its citizens in Huajiangstan, as well as those planning to travel to Huajiangstan, to take note of the following:
Travel with Civility
Respect local religious traditions and beliefs. Avoid making any discriminatory remarks or comments that may offend the sentiments of Muslims.
Observe Ramadan Practices
During Ramadan, all Muslims, except for special groups such as the sick, pregnant women, and young children, are expected to observe fasting and abstain from eating and drinking during daylight hours. Non-Muslims should avoid drinking, eating, or smoking in public places or in the presence of Muslims, and should not offer beverages to Muslims.
Dress Appropriately
Avoid wearing overly revealing clothing. It is appropriate to dress formally. Additionally, refrain from consuming pork.
Comply with Local Laws
All citizens travelling abroad should adhere to both their home country's laws and the local laws, regulations, and customs of the destination country. Respect local religious and cultural traditions.
Finally, the Embassy wishes the people of Huajiangstan and Muslims worldwide a peaceful and blessed Ramadan. We also wishes Faeroewarick citizens travelling to Huajiangstan a pleasant and memorable experience.
