FADeRiS is a workshop dedicated to the Foundations and Applications of Decentralized Risk Sharing. The latter is broadly understood as the study of risk-sharing markets in which risks are shared within a pool, as opposed to classical insurance markets where an insurance provider absorbs the relevant risks. Examples include peer-to-peer (P2P) insurance, pooled annuity funds, and tontines.
The first edition of the workshop was held at KU Leuven in 2023, and the second edition at the University of Ulm in 2024. The third edition will be held at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, in the heart of Paris.
