The goal of this website is to educate others on interest theory, and how it can be used in different settings. This website uses the character Calvin, from Calvin and Hobbes, to show how interest theory can be beneficial to children inside and out of the classroom. Interest theory is commonly seperated into situational and individual interest. "Individual interest is a relatively stable evaluative orientation towards certain domains; situational interest is an emotional state aroused by specific features of an activity or a task."
