The volunteer supply box can be hard to open. The trick is to push DOWN on the lid of the supply box...then the latch will open right up.

Please lay cans on their sides in the bin so that shopping can be done easily with minimal touching.

Trash and cardboard recycling can be placed in the dumpsters at Hodgepodge.

Compost: Compostable items should be put into one of the buckets inside the purple wooden compost box behind the dumpster and recycling bin at HP. Our friend Maurice will take care of the rest. We can help make this a success by following the guidelines of what is(n't) compostable, putting a lid tightly on the bucket with compostables inside, and locking the box.

• • NO plastics, metals, meats, cheese, oils, or eggs

  • Sealed canned goods (without meat, cheese, oil, or eggs) & dry goods like rice, compost bins beans, cornbread/cake mix, etc are GOOD as long as they are not in the box/bag.
