F8Fix strives to fix your device carefully. However, all repairs involve risks. By leaving your device with us, you acknowledge and accept the following terms:
Liability for Component Failure: We are not liable for any component malfunction or failure during or after repair. This is especially true for delicate, high-risk parts (such as processors/CPUs, graphics chips, laptop or phone screens, etc.), which can break or fail without warning even under careful handling. We make no warranty that repairs will fix all issues or that parts won’t fail. In industry terms, we accept no responsibility for unseen internal damage due to previous repair, drop damage, liquid damage, or other circumstances beyond our control. In short, if a sensitive component fails during disassembly/reassembly or later, the customer assumes that risk – unless such failure is caused by our gross negligence,
Assumption of Risk: Customers assume all risk for fragile or pre-damaged parts. Many devices contain tiny connectors, cables or glass elements that can crack, chip or break during handling. For example, LCD or OLED screens and keyboard frames are fragile; even gentle pressure can cause cracks. You agree that any existing weaknesses (such as cracks, bends, or worn components from prior drops, water exposure, or previous repairs) are your responsibility. Technicians will work carefully, but components may fail during disassembly or reassembly despite best practices. As one repair policy notes, a device may become inoperable due to unseen damage and movement of required components during repair. By authorizing work, you accept that such occurrences are possible. We strongly recommend removing any easily detached or delicate parts (like memory cards or external drives) before service; anything left on the device is at the customer’s own risk.
Data Loss and Software Issues: We urge you to back up all your data (documents, photos, apps, etc.) before repair. We will not be held responsible for any loss, corruption or alteration of data during service. This includes deletion of files, formatting of drives, or data damaged by software or hardware work. In the course of repair it may be necessary to reinstall software or reset devices, which can erase data. By leaving your device with us, you acknowledge this risk and agree that we are not liable for any lost or corrupted data, regardless of cause. If you have any confidential information, please delete or remove it before service (we do not seek or view your personal files).
Pre-existing Defects and Warranty Voidance: Any problems not related to the diagnosed issue are considered pre-existing. We do not promise to fix unrelated defects, and we will not be liable for additional breakdowns caused by hidden damage. For instance, internal corrosion from liquid spills or damage from overheating may cause new failures during repair. Our technicians will not make undisclosed repairs beyond the agreed scope. Please note: performing unauthorized repairs or modifications can void manufacturer warranties; we are not responsible for voided warranties.
Payment and Acceptance of Terms: Before any work begins, the customer must sign the repair order or waiver form to accept these terms. Signing (or otherwise agreeing) constitutes your acknowledgement that you understand and accept all the above disclaimers. As stated in similar service agreements, by submitting your device for repair you “agree to this [policy] and acknowledge that [we] are not liable” for data loss or hardware failures during service. Full payment is due upon completion of repairs. If you do not pick up your device within a reasonable time after notification (typically 60–90 days), we may charge storage fees or consider the device abandoned.
By leaving your device for repair, you confirm that you have read and understood this policy and accept all associated risks. Thank you for your trust; we will apply our best skill and care, but please remember that repair work is undertaken at your own risk.
