Now that you've determined that video game streaming is what you want to pursue, all that's left is to simply "Get Started" and get things rolling. Everything has a starting point and it is no different in this particular instance.
We're going to take the time to look at some of the hardware-accessories you'll need to get things going and what may be best for you and your stream. Take a look at the video below for some inexpensive products that will help you boost your streaming experience.
This blog post is NOT intended for Console or PC setup but strictly for hardware-accessories for your existing gaming/streaming station.

The most important factor in streaming that is so underrated right now is audio quality. This is probably the most crucial thing that anyone could consider when streaming. In order to build your stream you must have an effective way of communicating with your audience and viewers. This is impossible if your audio quality is poor and/or lacking.
Take the time to sit down and go through all of your settings and tweak them for a finer, cleaner, and just all around better audio output and experience for your viewers (learn more about this in Software).
No one likes hearing static and unnecessary background noise or just poor sound. Here are my favorite and most highly recommended products that are going to substantially put you a head when it comes to sound, all without having to spend too much money upfront:
I can't stress enough on how big of a role having these audio products in your streaming arsenal is going to play. Get away from the typical headphone mic and invest into a condenser mic that is going to give you the quality you're looking for, but most importantly what your audience is looking (hearing) for. With the addition of a boom arm and pop filter, you're only adding that much more of a dynamic and quality to your audio setup.
I currently use the Blue Yeti for my streaming set up and transitioned from the FIFINE USB Mic. For the price range between the two I would still highly recommend the FIFINE USB Mic. Between price gap vs quality sound, the difference is VERY MARGINAL and for that reason I would always recommend saving the money where you can. But if you're looking for something super professional, sturdy, and guaranteed quality then the Blue Yeti is a totally great option.
There's a huge debate in the streaming community on whether a camera is necessary. To save you the headache and provide clarity in this, here's the answer:
"It's totally up to you"
You absolutely DO NOT need one to start. Your direct and timely communication with your viewers and audience is going to benefit you much more than having a camera on you.
BUT....What you may want to think about is "Does your personality or niche' require you to be on camera?" Are you wearing make up or a shirt that helps promote your channel or products? Do you have an awesome background that you feel will support your efforts in connecting with your viewers? Do you feel that you connect better with your audience when they're able to see you?
There is no right or wrong answer to this, and taking the time to hash out the pros and cons of having a camera on stream will better direct you and help save you money where you can.
Here is my recommended "start up" camera that dishes out great quality and doesn't break the bank:
Built-In mic with noise reduction technology (you won't be using this mic for streaming)
Again, it isn't the most important thing to have a camera. But if you've decided that you're stream is going to benefit from you being seen by your audience to help better connect with them, then the next topic is going to be absolutely crucial to making sure that you get the best video quality with the Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam.
You're probably going to be told that you need a high end, overly expensive DSLR camera. Here's the truth:
"A webcam with optimal lighting is a hundred times better than a DSLR without lighting"
Invest into lighting so that you can get the most quality out of your Logitech C920 HD Pro. Here are a few of the items I personally use and recommend for your set up:
And that is the basic hardware you'll need to get your audio and visuals peaked while on a start up budget. Remember to take the time to sit down and think over how much you're willing to spend. If you have the means or budget to get yourself a DSLR, then by all means tailor your hardware and accessories toward your streaming goals and what you expect your channel to become but I can confidently say that the items listed here will be the prime starting point for anyone looking to become a video game streamer.
