Why is This Important for Kids Today?

In today's world, it's not enough to just know facts. Kids need to know how to solve problems that they've never seen before. 

With this in mind, EyeQ Connection added Computational Thinking into the way we teach. It helps students explore ideas, make connections, and learn how to think, not just what to think.

Computational Thinking is a powerful way to solve problems by using both logical and creative skills, engaging both sides of the brain.

• Logic: Breaking down a big problem into smaller, manageable pieces. This is like following a recipe step-by-step.

• Creativity: Thinking of new and different ways to approach a problem and seeing the big picture of how all the pieces fit together.

So, instead of being a "left-brain" or "right-brain" activity, computational thinking is a whole-brain activity.

By the middle of the 21st century, everyone will need this skill. Children need to be confident to try new things and take risks, knowing that if they fail, they can learn from it.  This belief helps them overcome challenges and continue moving forward. By embracing a holistic approach to education that nurtures their core values, including emotional, social, and intellectual development, they are prepared for success in all areas of life.
