Just 100 words make up half of everything a child will ever read.

Words like the, is, you, said, we, are - small, simple, and everywhere. These high-frequency words appear more than 50% of the pages in a book.  While some can be sounded out, many cannot be decoded through phonics alone and must be recognised to support fluent reading.

Most preschools teach phonics to learn reading, then add storybooks to make English more fun.

Wizard is designed to support exactly this. It introduces common, everyday words slowly and gently through fun workbook activities, brings those same words back in simple stories. So when a child reads, they're meeting words they already know, now used in a story.

This balance helps children move from “learning to read” → “reading to learn”.
