Extremadura is a unique natural place with different types of landscapes that give rise to totally immersive areas in which writers are inspired and compose their works.
One of the symbols of our natural heritage is the dehesa. A forest of holm oak, cork oak and other trees that make for an ecological paradise of close to one million hectares and one of the best conserved ecosystems in Europe.
The north of Extremadura is famous for the flowering of cherry trees in spring; an incredible show of more than two million trees that paint the slopes of the valley white.
Following a centuries-old family tradition, the cherries are handcrafted in terraces carved in the high mountains of the Valley, among crystalline springs and pure air. Only in such a unique environment, with a privileged microclimate, can the best cherries in Spain be grown.
