Session Lesson Plans

You are welcome to use the following lesson plans to guide you in your conversation club.

We generally used the following format in our sessions:

Welcome, land acknowledgement and commitment to reconciliation (5-10 minutes)

Overview of session (5-10 minutes)

Small group breakout with prompt - Could involve homework sharing (10-15 minutes)

Lesson and vocabulary (20 minutes)

Large group share back and deeper dive (20 minutes)

Discussion time - Could be in small and/or with a larger group (25 minutes)

Closing and assign homework (5 minutes)

Total Time: 90-110 minutes
