We are three settlers living in what is now known as ‘British Columbia’ who are passionate about contributing to reconciliation and decolonization efforts. At the time of this project, we were all students in UBC’s innovative M.Ed - Education for Sustainability program. As part of our program, we developed and ran five, 1.5 hour long sessions on Zoom over the months of October and November 2020 (in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic). We were joined by 15 enthusiastic participants - all newcomers to Canada. As a result of those sessions, we have compiled this site in the hopes of contributing to the successful stewardship of similar projects, so that others may continue to learn, progress and grow as fellow citizens on the crucial path towards reconciliation. This learning and unlearning of colonial education and mindsets is a life's work. We hope that this small contribution will assist in the creation of a more positive and regenerative path forward.
