About Us

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) stimulates women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expands the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrates the value of diversity.

SWE at RPI promotes leadership, professional development, and networking. We host various development and professional events by inviting companies, hosting study sessions for our members, and providing members with an opportunity to attend the SWE conferences. 

The co-directors for EED 2026 are Genevieve and Gillian! We are so excited to make this an event to remember and answer any questions you have along the way to the event ☺️

Genevieve is a senior Mechanical Engineering major with a Sustainability minor. She is most looking forward to hosting hands-on activities to give students a taste of the endless possibilities in STEM!

Gillian is a senior Mechanical Engineering major with a Science, Technology, and Society minor. She is most excited for welcoming everyone to the event and having the opportunity to share her passion in STEM!
