Taking Part

Contributor Videos

The material currently on this website is from our first phase of recruitment, which followed the award of an initial sum to pay those of our contributors who were not employees of Nottingham Trent University (i.e. Mike and Sarah, who both lecture at NTU at present).

Although we do not have additional funding to recruit further contributors immediately, we are hopeful that - dependent on the levels of use these materials receive - we may be able to secure further funds to capture more accounts. If you would like to be considered for any such project in the future, please first have a look at our instruction to contributors page, and then complete the web form at the following address:

Teaching Material and Ideas

This material has been made available free to use for any educators. All we ask for in return is that you let us have some feedback about how you have used the material, and whether it has been helpful. Additionally, if you have any thoughts about ways in which the supplementary study materials could be enhanced, or even want to contribute new content, we would be very happy to hear from you. Please contact mike.marriott@ntu.ac.uk to do so. Additionally, if you would like there to be more videos from - for example - a specific demographic who are not currently represented in the videos and you have access to some funds (£100 per contributor) that might enable this to happen under the Exploring Experience banner, then please do get in touch.

Research

The Department of Psychology at Nottingham Trent University is very research active, and we are often conducting projects where funding is available to pay participants. If you sign up to our panel, you will occasionally get emails from other researchers in psychology, all of whom will be running some kind of study where they can offer either payment or alternative remuneration (e.g. Amazon vouchers); many would require attendance in Nottingham, but some might be possible remotely. It could be related to any aspect of psychology (rather than just mental health research), but you will always have the option to pursue an offer or not – there is no obligation, and you can withdraw at any point. If this interests you, please have a look at the further information and sign up panel at this website - http://tinyurl.com/psychology-research-panel
