There are many different ways to get around São João del-Rei. Here are a few options — from buses to rideshare apps to mototaxis to your own two feet — to make your way wherever you need to go.

Uber does not operate in São João del-Rei, but there are other rideshare apps which provide the same service.

*The transport by motorcycle is usually cheaper, but you should be mindful of your safety. Wear your helmet properly and do not encourage the driver to drive past the speed limits.

Eco-Friendly Alternatives
In addition to buses and cars, there are other ways to get around the city like cycling and walking. Fortunately, São João del-Rei is a small city, so it's easy to walk and cycle around. However, the sidewalks can be uneven and crowded at times.
Walking
Walking distance times between the three campuses are approximately 43 minutes from CSA to CDB, 28 minutes from CDB to CTAN and 1h 16 minutes from CTAN to CSA.
Biking
Cycling distance times between the three campuses are approximately 12 minutes from CSA to CDB, 15 minutes from CDB to CTAN and 21 minutes from CTAN to CSA.
