The Explorer’s Hub is for children aged 4–11, from Reception through to Year 6. Activities are carefully adapted to suit different ages and stages.
Each Explorer’s Hub session runs for 2 hours. Sessions are carefully planned to be active, engaging and well-paced, giving children a rich and enjoyable experience without feeling overwhelmed.
Each session includes a balance of:
Active and physical play
Creative or problem-solving activities
Outdoor exploration (where possible)
Opportunities for teamwork and independence
The shorter session length allows children to stay focused, energised and fully engaged throughout.
The club is run by three qualified primary school teachers who currently work in a primary school. We bring experience across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Our club is designed to inspire curiosity and creativity through playful, hands-on activities. While children have lots of fun, every activity also supports their development building confidence, independence, social skills, and a love of learning.
As sessions are 2 hours long, children should bring:
A water bottle
Comfortable clothing suitable for movement and outdoor play (where possible)
(Parents will be informed in advance if anything additional is needed.)
Yes - many children attend on their own. We focus on inclusion, teamwork and confidence-building, and staff support children to settle quickly and make new friends.
We create a calm, positive environment where children are encouraged to try new things, persevere and build resilience. Mistakes are seen as part of learning, and effort is always celebrated.
Booking information can be found on our website. If you have any questions, you can contact us via email and we’ll be happy to help.
Staff members at The Explorer’s Hub hold a full paediatric first aid certificate, suitable for working with children. A fully stocked first aid kit is available at every session, and clear procedures are in place to ensure children receive prompt and appropriate care if needed.
At The Explorer’s Hub, we believe that concerns are best addressed through open and honest communication. Parents and carers are encouraged to raise any concerns directly with us via email.
All complaints will be acknowledged promptly and handled fairly and confidentially. We will work with families to reach a positive resolution and use feedback to help us improve our provision.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a session, all affected families will be notified promptly. We will provide a full refund or the option to transfer to another session, ensuring your child does not miss out on the holiday club experience.
Yes! Where spaces are available, we are happy to transfer your child’s booking to another session. Please let us know as early as possible to ensure we can accommodate your request.
Your child’s health and safety are our top priorities. If your child is unwell, please notify us as soon as possible. While last-minute cancellations due to illness are understandably difficult, we may be able to offer a credit towards a future session, depending on availability.
We understand that plans can change. To give other families the opportunity to attend, we kindly ask that cancellations be made at least 7 days before the start of the holiday club. Cancellations made within this period may be subject to a partial or full charge, depending on the circumstances. However, we are happy to offer credit for a future session so your child can still enjoy our holiday club at another time.
