Wellcome to The Explorer's Hub!
A place where learning, play, and community come together.
Our school holiday clubs inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child, offering fun, safe, and engaging activities designed around their interests.
As co-directors, we share a passion for children’s growth, creative learning, and high-quality care. Together, we bring experience, energy, and expertise to plan, lead, and deliver sessions where every child feels welcomed, valued, and excited to learn.
We also partner with schools to deliver evidence-based Oracy programs, helping children develop confidence, communication, and critical thinking skills—building strong voices and lifelong learning skills in the classroom.
I have been in education for 9 years, working across both EYFS and KS1. I understand what children need at each stage of their school journey and how to support them to reach their potential. I hold a BA (Hons) in Education Studies, Qualified Teacher Status, and a full Paediatric First Aid qualification. I have also worked as a PE Lead. Currently, I am a Year 2 class teacher in a diverse environment, with experience supporting children with a wide range of needs and abilities. I strongly believe that every child learns differently, at their own pace, and that teaching should reflect this. Learning should be fun, exciting, and memorable something that sparks curiosity and builds confidence. I learnt best through hands-on activities as a child, and this continues to shape the way I teach today.
I am also aware of the importance of Oracy in learning. Throughout my teaching career, I have incorporated plenty of opportunities for children to speak, listen, and share their ideas, helping them build confidence and communicate effectively across the curriculum.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking, arts and crafts, badminton, board games, reading, and traveling. I love being creative, getting stuck in, and giving back to others. Playing badminton and board games has taught me resilience, a quality I aim to instil in the children I teach. Travel is a huge passion of mine I love experiencing different cultures, foods, and lifestyles, and it always inspires new ideas for learning and exploration.
The Explorer’s Hub is a dream brought to life from my experiences and passions, and I am thrilled to share it with children and schools alike. Our holiday clubs are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence, while our school partnerships deliver evidence-based Oracy programs, helping children build communication, critical thinking, and lifelong learning skills. I look forward to seeing every child leave our sessions inspired, confident, and with a love of learning that stays with them long after.
I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience working with children across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I currently teach in Key Stage 1 and am the Year Group Leader for Year 2. I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Media Professional Studies, Qualified Teacher Status, and a full Paediatric First Aid qualification. I have also worked as a PE Lead.
Throughout my career, I have taken on a variety of roles, including senior leadership and subject leader positions, giving me a broad understanding of how to support children academically, socially, and emotionally.
I am also very aware of the importance of Oracy in children’s learning. In my previous school, Oracy was a key focus, and I have always incorporated it into my teaching, helping children develop their speaking, listening, and discussion skills across the curriculum. This has allowed me to support children in expressing their ideas confidently and engaging meaningfully in their learning.
I am also a mum of three children, one of whom is autistic, which has given me a strong personal understanding of supporting children with SEND and the importance of patience, flexibility, and truly knowing each child as an individual. I believe children learn best when they are encouraged to explore, be curious, and feel fully immersed in their learning.
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, cycling, reading, and cooking. My background in media has also instilled in me a love of theatre, movies, and the arts, which inspires creativity and curiosity in everything I do and I try to share this passion with the children I teach.
The Explorer’s Hub was created from a genuine passion for providing a safe, nurturing space where children feel confident to ask questions, be creative, and enjoy learning. I am so excited to be involved in this and can’t wait to work closely with schools to support each child’s unique journey. Alongside our holiday sessions, I am proud to help bring structured, evidence-based Oracy programs into schools, giving pupils the opportunity to develop their speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills in a way that complements their classroom learning. I look forward to seeing every child leave our sessions inspired, confident, and ready to thrive.
