Come as You Are
There are many paths that bring You Here.
Some arrive through philosophy, others through science, ecology, technology, art, spirituality, religion, activism, or lived experience, among others. Some come through questions; others through wonder, uncertainty, longing, or a sense that something in the way we understand ourselves and our world is shifting.
Existential Posthumanism does not ask You to leave anything behind.
You do not have to abandon a faith, a tradition, a worldview, or a way of making meaning in order to enter this space. Rather, You are invited to bring what has shaped You — and to encounter it anew.
Come with Your questions, with Your beliefs. Come with Your doubts and Your experiences.
Come with whatever gives meaning to Your existence. Come as You are.
This is an open space for dialogue across differences, where diverse paths of knowing, believing, experiencing, and becoming can meet — not by erasing their differences, but by allowing them to enter into conversation with one another and with the more-than-human worlds we share.
Each path brings its own gifts. In this shared journey, we all benefit.

What does it mean to exist, in posthuman terms?
This question lies at the heart of a growing field of posthumanist inquiry. Over recent decades, posthumanism has developed across philosophical, critical, ecological, technological, and cultural perspectives, creating a vibrant and evolving terrain from which to re-envisioning the challenges of the present — and our place within it.
Within this landscape, Existential Posthumanism is emerging as an open field of thought, experience, practice, and becoming. At its core is a personal question: what does it mean to exist?
Existential Posthumanism explores what it means to exist, think, feel, and act beyond anthropocentric paradigms, at a time of profound planetary, technological, ecological, and existential transformation. From this perspective, existence is never simply individual.
We come into being through relations, encounters, entanglements, vulnerabilities, affects. We are shaped by bodies, environments, technologies, narratives and many other dimensions of the human and more-than-human worlds which we are co-creating. Existential Posthumanism therefore asks us to reconsider not only who we are, but how we become:
Who are we beyond the narrative and habit of human autonomy? How do we become through our relations with others? How might we manifest our well-being as inseparable from the well-being of the human and more-than-human worlds we co-create?
It is an invitation to envision beyond inherited boundaries and toward new possibilities of being, relating, becoming, and existing together.

Existential Posthumanism as a Living Inquiry
This cycle of international conferences - International Colloquia on Existential Posthumanism is conceived as a living, relational inquiry into the notino of Existential Posthumanism. Bringing together scholars, researchers, artists, designers, activists, and practitioners, the series creates a shared space where theoretical reflection and embodied practice are inseparable. Existential Posthumanism is explored from multiple positions and disciplines, yet always grounded in a common commitment to relationality, non-anthropocentrism, and responsibility within a more-than-human world. The conferences thus function as crossroads of knowledge, experience, and care, where diverse voices converge without being homogenised. The aim of these gatherings is not merely to define, systematise, or delimit Existential Posthumanism as a theoretical paradigm. Rather, the conferences pose more radical and transformative questions — questions that are inhabited, felt, and collectively explored, in the recognition that thinking itself is always embodied, situated, and relational.
Below is a selection of the conferences held over the past few years:
14–16 October 2026 at the Università Iuav di Venezia, Italy
14-17 January 2026 at Presidency University, Kolkata, India
28-30 May 2025 at Campus Puebla, Mexico

Existential Posthumanism: A Visionary Introduction argues that this historical moment is not only a condition of collapse — it is also an opening.
An opening toward new ways of thinking, sensing, learning, and becoming beyond anthropocentric and dualistic paradigms. The book introduces existential posthumanism as both a groundbreaking philosophical framework and a lived practice: a way of engaging existence as relational, embodied, ecological, and co-created across human and nonhuman worlds.
Bringing together leading scholars and practitioners from across five continents, this edited collection weaves visionary essays with praxis-based reflections, experimental methodologies, and lived experiences.
The volume emerges from a decade of international collaboration, including the Global Posthuman Network projects and symposia, the Existential Posthumanism conference series, posthuman summer camps, and experimental educational initiatives such as The Posthuman Educator certification course. These initiatives functioned as living laboratories where facilitators and participants explored existential and ethical questions through dialogue, embodiment, collective inquiry, and experiential activities.
The result is a book that combines intellectual rigor with transformative energy, and that invites readers not only to understand existential posthumanism, but to experience and inhabit it.
