Bringing together leading scholars and practitioners from across five continents, this edited collection weaves visionary essays with praxis-based reflections, experimental methodologies, and lived experiences. Many contributors of this book have played foundational roles in shaping contemporary posthumanist thought.
The volume emerges from a decade of international collaboration, including the Global Posthuman Network projects and symposia, the Existential Posthumanism conference series, posthuman summer camps, and experimental educational initiatives such as The Posthuman Educator certification course. These initiatives functioned as living laboratories where facilitators and participants explored existential and ethical questions through dialogue, embodiment, collective inquiry, and experiential activities.
The result is a book that combines intellectual rigor with transformative energy, and that invites readers not only to understand existential posthumanism, but to experience and inhabit it.

A Posthuman Journey
We have imagined the writing process for this book not simply as a standard academic undertaking, but as an existential practice in itself.
We would like to walk it together in the form of what we have come to call a "posthuman journey": a series of gatherings in which we share ideas, reflections and questions, inspire one another, and allow that mutual influence to shape a mode of writing that holds scholarly rigour together with lived experience — writing that is sincere, generative and full of potential.
The journey is unfolding...
We value transparency and joy, creating a workspace where every member of our community can grow, collaborate, and thrive.
These are our 8 shared values, guiding how to navigate challenges and turn them into opportunities for growth and development:
