Seniors Enter Into Final Week of School Year

Class of 34 Students Will Receive Diplomas Here Next Week

Final preparations have been made at Exira High School for commencement week. 34 students will receive diplomas on Friday evening, May 27, in the school gymnasium with Mr. Stoddard Lane of Des Moines delivering the annual address.

The program for commencement night will be as follows:

Concert by town orchestra 7:30 to 8:00.

Processional by orchestra.

Invocation by Rev. Virgil B. Hill.

Musical selection by Girls Glee Club.

Scripture reading by Rev. Hill.

Vocal solo by Mrs. Fred Basham.

Baccalaureate sermon by Rev. A. G. Whittier.

Musical selection by Girls Glee Club.

Benediction by Rev. Hill.

Class Plays

The class plays “Second Childhood” and the “Phantom Pilot” will be given on Monday and Tuesday evenings. The cast for each play has been chosen and each will prove entertaining to those present.

Class Night Thursday

Class night will be held on Thursday evening with a program of special features followed by the Salutatory and Valedictory addresses by Marcella Minerman and Earl Jensen, respectively.
