Start your weekend retreat on the right foot with this educational and relaxing class focusing on your body. Myofascial release that Heather teaches is unlike what most of you have experienced before. The techniques are long, gentle and deep. We are focused on hands-on self bodywork that allows you to melt the tension and pain away from your body. You will learn about fascia and myofascial release principles before we enter a 1 hour practice of myofascial release with visualizations incorporated into the holds. We will be releasing in the upper body, chest and abdomen- you will leave feeling like a different person!
This immersive wellness experience blends gentle yoga practice with soothing massage techniques and the calming aroma of essential oils, followed by a short meditation and conclude with a relaxing sound bath. Each element works in harmony to release tension, quiet the mind, & restore balance to your body.
Experience the benefits of diaphragmatic breathing through foundational practices and guided sequences. You’ll learn practical tools and techniques to help slow your breath rate, support tongue and jaw positioning, and restore natural rhythm to the respiratory and pelvic diaphragms; helping to regulate your nervous system and complete the stress cycle. Decompress and support your overall wellbeing with passive and active breathing practices that can be implemented daily. Improve lung capacity, function and breath control; boost immunity and aid digestion; strengthen heart rate variability and stamina; encourage circulation and pelvic floor health; and promote vitality, deep relaxation and sleep quality. A discreet and effective tool, your breath is always with you. Can be practiced from reclined, seated and/or standing.
Essential oils have the power to transform us to other places, connect us to our memories, uplift us, and calm us down, allowing us to unwind and be well. In this workshop, you will learn about essential oils and the numerous ways they help balance our bodies to achieve better health. As a group, we will create an aromatherapy roll-on blend and a body butter under the tutelage of a registered herbalist, which you will customize using your choice of scents.
This session will begin with a short, gentle guided meditation to help everyone settle and relax before the soundbath, which will use body-based, grounded approach to achieve deep relaxation and nervous-system regulation.
