Some things to note:
The OCA (Office of Consumer Advocate) has requested a public forum to hear testimony from PAWC customers. That date has yet to be determined but will be communicated once set. We are hoping there will be a local public hearing in Berks County for people to appear and provide testimony against the rate increase.
Once you file a Formal Complaint, it takes a few days for the PUC to accept the filing (be patient, they are pouring in right now).
This case has been moved from the PUC to an Administrative Law Judge who must review all of the complaints and information submitted by all parties who enter into the case.
You will receive additional (and many) email notifications when parties are added to the complaint or when parties respond to other complaints - there is nothing you need to do with these notices, they are for your information only.
Terms to know:
Certificate of Service - certifies that all parties in a case are notified by the method stated (email/US mail)
Interrogatories - part of the discovery process in a case where parties ask questions of each other and are required to provide documentation in response to those questions
Prayers for Relief - part of the complaint where the plaintiff states damages or other remedies it is seeking in a case. In this case, our prayer is that the judge denies the requests for rate increase.
