About me: Bernard Pfister
With over 30 years of experience in education and training across various institutions globally, I am a qualified teacher/trainer holding a Master of Education degree and teaching diplomas. Additionally, I have successfully passed Microsoft Specialist exams in Excel and Access, solidifying my expertise in the field.
Location:
Based in New Plymouth, Taranaki, I am a member of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce.
Besides doing training on-site, I also run workshops in the Chamber's modern, fully equipped training room on a variety of Excel and other topics.
Mission:
At Excel Training Taranaki, we specialise in helping experienced but self-taught Microsoft 365 users work smarter, faster, and with greater confidence. Rather than teaching software features in isolation, our hands-on workshops focus on real workplace tasks and practical productivity improvements. Whether it's Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Query, or Copilot Chat, participants learn techniques they can apply immediately to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and save valuable time.
Our training is designed for busy professionals who already use Microsoft 365 every day but know they could be getting more from it. Using relevant business examples and a friendly, supportive approach, we help learners replace inefficient habits with modern, efficient ways of working. The result is not only better software skills, but greater confidence, improved productivity, and measurable benefits for both individuals and organisations.
My aim is to provide affordable, customised training for businesses throughout Taranaki and beyond.
Over the past 5 years I have worked with over 150 Taranaki businesses helping to train some of their staff!
On-site business training:
For the convenience of local businesses, existing workshops can be adapted or new ones created. I offer flexible options for one-on-one training or small groups, either at your premises or through online platforms. Workshops are offered in Excel, Word, Outlook, Generative AI (Chat GTP, Copilot & others), Google Workspace: Drive, Sheets & Docs.
A free initial visit can be arranged to assess your staff needs and skill levels before designing a custom workshop. All workshops come with detailed notes and email follow-up help.
