Sales Representative

This position available is for an independent self-starter interested in earning extra money, both part- and full-time. You would be trained to guide clients to make financial decisions toward their life goals and expectations. The candidate would go through intense training sessions on Admin and Compliance processes of the insurance industry, as well as product training (Estate planning, Income tax, Unit trust Investments, Funeral cover, etc). This person will be groomed to become an authorized representative approved by the Financial Services Board (FSB)

This position would entail:

  • Requesting quotes for clients (our brokerage can assist with requesting quotes from certain companies)
  • Preparation of sales documentation
  • Downloading policy values and portfolio information
  • Communicating via email and telephone
  • Securing and submitting new business sales
  • Basic insurance / investment industry knowledge
  • Creativity - Identifying a problem and coming up with possible financial solutions

Requirements (non-negotiates):

  • Matric
  • Excellent English/Afrikaans skills (Code 5 or higher in Matric Certificate) – both written and verbal
  • Relevant degree (financial background an advantage)
  • Attention to detail VITAL
  • Self-sufficient (own computer, transport, resources, etc)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of computers and printers/scanners
  • Proper telephone etiquette
  • Well groomed
  • Applicants to be a preferred 30 years of age or older.

Advantageous:

  • Sales experience (1 year or more)
  • Good mathematical skills – interpreting investment values
  • Admin background (1 year or more)
  • Out-going and positive personality
  • Be assertive where necessary, and have a perseverance attitude

Admin Clerk

This position calls for a detail-orientated, pleasant and positive person to assist in our insurance department. This person would need to be comfortable following instructions and providing accurate report-backs during feedback meetings and discussions, as well as be able to keep to deadlines.

This position would entail:

  • Answering the phone
  • Recording emails and telephone messages
  • Downloading and saving of policy information
  • Requesting quotes from insurance companies - via email and telephonically
  • Compiling invoices
  • Working on a large-scale client base
  • Typing of records and letters
  • Corresponding with clients and insurance companies (only when asked to do so)

Requirements (non-negotiates):

  • Matric

  • Relevant degree (financial background an advantage)
  • Attention to detail VITAL
