This session focuses on task design and tools that can be applied at different levels of the SAMR Model. The SAMR model presents four levels of technology integration to progressively enhance teaching practice. Participants will analyze, discuss, evaluate and create digital tasks using various tools in different levels of integration.

In this 5-week immersive session, participants gain hands-on experience designing and integrating AI-generated personas in Virtual Reality and Virtual Worlds for English language teaching. They learn to create avatars, engineer and contrast effective prompts, as well as to develop interactive, level-appropriate language activities, and meaningful conversational practice for their classes.

Engagement, access to tools and digital literacy continue to be challenges in multilingual learning classrooms. Participants will explore different virtual, AI tools, and social media apps to promote virtual and in-person engagement. Participants will leave with ideas, techniques and activities to adapt to any context and/or classroom.
