In Act 2 of The Wisdom Saga, Ares takes the stage during Level 4 of the God Games, summoned by Zeus to challenge Athena one final time. Fueled by disdain for cowardice, Ares condemns Odysseus for his tactical retreats—accusing him of sacrificing his crew to Scylla and hiding behind deception during the fall of Troy. He mocks Odysseus and his son Telemachus alike, calling them weak and unworthy of legacy. For Ares, honor is forged in blood—not in shadows or compromises.
Athena refuses to waver. She defends Telemachus’s quiet strength and Odysseus’s cunning as a different form of valor. She promises that if Odysseus returns home, it will be to lead a righteous war—one that satisfies even the god of violence. Ares, intrigued by the promise of bloodshed and impressed by Athena's unflinching reply, ultimately gives his approval. His judgment is not rooted in mercy, but in the thrill of inevitable conflict.
Ares’ unique ability—Dark Quick Thought—mirrors Athena’s cerebral power but is built for emotional endurance. When activated, it transports the user to a scorched mental plane where pain, fear, and hesitation are drowned by an overwhelming surge of bravery and aggression. It grants the body greater resistance to injury, but at the cost of amplifying destructive emotions like rage and despair. In this altered state, Ares becomes more than a warrior—he becomes war incarnate, unyielding and unstoppable.
