The Troy Saga is the first part of EPIC: The Musical. It includes the first five songs and starts the story. It was first released on December 25, 2022, and became very popular, getting over 2.5 million streams on Spotify in just three days. The songs together are 16 minutes and 10 seconds long. A new version of The Troy Saga, along with The Cyclops Saga, was released again on July 4, 2024, under Winion Entertainment LLC instead of the old label, BRP Records LLC. This re-release also came out with The Thunder Saga.

- THE HORSE AND THE INFANT
The Horse and the Infant is the first song in The Troy Saga and the opening number of EPIC: The Musical. It’s set during the battle of Troy and gives us a look into Odysseus’ character, showing that he can be a strong leader while also having a kind and thoughtful side. The song is performed by Jorge Rivera-Herrans as Odysseus, Luke Holt as Zeus, and the cast of EPIC: The Musical as soldiers and gods.
The first draft of the song included rap sections inspired by Lin-Manuel Miranda’s style.
The song is in the key of C minor and has a 4/4 time signature.
Mortals are represented with orchestral or classical sounds, while gods are represented with synthetic or electronic sounds.
Zeus’s arrival is marked by the call of an eagle, his sacred animal.
In The Iliad (Book IV), Hector’s son is named Scamandrius, but the people of Troy call him Astyanax, meaning "King of the City," because Hector was the main defender of Troy.
The infant’s mother is Princess Andromache, daughter of Eëtion of Thebes.

In this heartfelt moment, he expresses his deep desire to return home, the guilt he carries for the lives he has taken during the war, and his fear of the price he may have to pay for his actions. The song is performed by Jorge Rivera-Herrans as Odysseus, along with the cast of EPIC: The Musical.

Full Speed Ahead is the third song in The Troy Saga, set during Odysseus’s voyage home as he and his crew sail across the sea. During their journey, they are faced with the challenge of finding a place to hunt and gather food to feed the 600 men aboard their ship. The song is performed by Jorge Rivera-Herrans as Odysseus, Armando Julian as Eurylochus, Steven Dookie as Polites, and the cast of EPIC: The Musical.
The song is in C minor and has a 4/4 time signature.
This was the very first song ever shared from EPIC: The Musical, although it was an early draft version.
A demo version of the song is available online.
Full Speed Ahead was one of the songs remade and re-released alongside The Thunder Saga on July 4, 2024.

Open Arms is the fourth song in The Troy Saga, set on the island of the Lotus Eaters. In this emotional number, Polites encourages Odysseus to embrace life with an open heart and to place more trust in others. The song is performed by Jorge Rivera-Herrans as Odysseus and Steven Dookie as Polites.
The song is in A major and has a 4/4 time signature.
It replaced an earlier Polites song titled Your Light.
Polites’ music features a mallet sound, which in the musical represents someone Odysseus cares about. It also subtly foreshadows Polites' death by blunt force.
This song was one of the tracks remade and re-released alongside The Thunder Saga on July 4, 2024.

Warrior of the Mind is the fifth and final song in The Troy Saga. In this powerful number, Athena reminds Odysseus that he must set aside his emotions and embrace her guidance, as he is the “Warrior of the Mind.” The song includes a flashback to the moment when Odysseus and Athena first met, marking the beginning of their mentor-mentee relationship. It is performed by Jorge Rivera-Herrans as Odysseus, Teagan Earley as Athena, and the cast of EPIC: The Musical.
The song is in C♯ minor and has a 4/4 time signature.
It takes place in Athena's Quick-Thought Dimension, where time stops so she can speak to Odysseus in what feels like an instant.
The "boar incident" originally had a connection to a deleted character named Eurycleia, Odysseus’ wet nurse, who would have recognized him by a scar from that event.
The original title of the song was The Boy and the Boar.
An early draft included a rap-style conversation between Athena and young Odysseus.
The Danger motif can be heard at the beginning of the second verse.
At the end of the song, Athena sings the word "mind" in Odysseus’ style to show their bond. In My Goodbye, she returns to her original high-note style, reflecting their emotional distance.
