Files provide candidate information by county for all contests in an election.
What’s included? They include the date of the election, county name, contest name (Example: NC Governor), name of the candidate on the ballot, as well as the candidate’s address, phone number(s), date of filing and political party. The file also includes information about the contest, such as whether there is a primary, whether the race is partisan, how many candidates’ voters will vote for in that contest, and how long the term of office is for that seat. See the layout file for details. Files specified as containing email addresses include available candidate email addresses.
