CHANGE OVER TIME

The Everglades today is remarkably over half of its original size due to housing, environmental impact, and global warming. Despite its large bodies of water, it only contains 30% of its original water volume today. These changes have harmed and altered the ecosystem and the natural habitat of its wildlife. Intrusion of salt water, evaporation, and flood control have all contributed to the water loss the Everglades suffers from today. As a result of these changes, there are many endangered animal species with are now threatened.
