Introduction and background to the business:
What we are is an Event Management company that sets up events solely for social enterprises in the hope that we can raise funds or awareness towards the social enterprises cause.

1. Operations procedures: Our day to day work consists of finding different social entrepreneurs that we can help raise awareness/funds for their cause. Our main expertise comes from setting up events and dedicating it to the social entrepreneur’s business/charity. If we have an event organised then we are either looking for venues, gathering equipment, looking for people to take part or whatever else may be needed for the event to be a success.
2. Location: We don’t have a specific location in terms of where are customers are. We always have a different venue on which we conduct events. In terms of our Headquarters and where we have our meetings we are based in IADT, Dun Laoighre. I think always having a different place in which the event is taking place gives us a bit of an advantage because it doesn’t restrict us to one specific area. We are always in a different location which helps get more notice about our social enterprise.
3.Facilities: The facilities we use really just comes down to the venues that we rent out for each event. For example the last venue we used was Druids Glen golf club when we were raising money and awareness for “Childline”. The next event that we plan on doing would be to set up a white collar boxing event for “Blood Bikes East” in which we would plan to rent out a night club for, preferably in Dublin city.
4.Operations strategy: The main strategy we use consists on our marketing skills. How we promote and advertise the event using various different strategies. An example would be setting up a target market so that we know the best ways on communicating to that audience about the event. If, per say, we knew that we would have a young target audience to appeal to then we would try to reach them by using platforms that young people are using these days. A lot of younger people are using Instagram and snapchat apps on their phones so an idea would be to promote our events through those platforms. When we set up the Golf tournament we just used flyers and set them up in different Golf Clubs because we knew the event would appeal to golfers.
