Request deletion of your Evenly account and data
Evenly (this app and its developer) lets you request that your account and associated data be deleted.
How to request deletion
1. From the app: Open Evenly → Settings → Account (or Profile) → sign in if needed. Use the in-app option to delete your account if available, or follow step 2.
2. By email: Send an email to tniym97@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Evenly account".
Include the email address or account you use for Evenly (e.g. the Google or Apple account you sign in with) so we can find your account.
3. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once your account and associated data have been deleted.

What we delete
When you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize:
- Account information: email/user id, display name, profile (e.g. username, avatar).
- Trip and expense data: trips you created or joined, expenses, receipt images, participant links, and settlement/transfer records tied to your account.
- App preferences stored for your account.
We do not retain copies of this data after deletion, except where we are legally required to keep it (e.g. for tax/legal compliance) for a limited period.

What we may keep (and for how long)
- Backups and logs: Deleted data may remain in backups or logs for a short period (typically up to 90 days) before being overwritten or removed.
- Legal obligations: If we are required by law to retain certain data (e.g. transaction records), we keep only what is necessary for the required period, then delete it.
We do not use retained data for product or marketing purposes.

After deletion
- You will no longer be able to sign in to Evenly with that account.
- You can create a new account later; it will not have access to your previous data.
