I have used Mentimeter both as a teacher and student. The app is great for making students participate in an anonimous manner in real time. The features that can be used are creating presentations in the form of word clouds, polls and quizes. Personally, I tend to use the word cloud to brainstorm while presenting a new topic or even to recycle and revise vocabulary.
I've used Kahoot as a teacher ever since the pandemic and last year, I had the opportunity to use it as a student in one of the didactics subjects. It is mainly a game in which SS create log in and create an avatar to play. It has features such as True or False. choose the correct option and select all that apply. As a teacher, I enjoy using it to revise before exams or to revise long lists of vocabulary that SS might need to study. This app makes learning extremely fun!
I've only used these two apps together as a teacher. Google slides is a great way to create attractive content to be taught and with bitmoji, anyone can create their own avatar and add a bit of fun to the slides. What I did was to create an interactive classroom with links to games, videos and activities or stories my students needed to work on. This was the case during the pandemic since the school didn't allow us to actually teach through zoom or meet. SS would get the link to the presentation through Google Classroom and work on the lesson's topic. Although, nowadays we are back to onsite lessons, I would use this for assignments (both instructions and oral presentations).
