Evangelical Achievers’ Academy joined the motorcade of the Barangay of Iponan last Sunday, February 5, 2023, as the school participates in the school community activities. Witnessed by several spectators, the EAA Drum & Lyre Corps engaged in the said event to showcase talents and bring pride to the school. The motorcade took place within the Iponan area from Iponan Plaza to Bulao, Iponan, and vice versa.
The Iponan Plaza was covered by the crowd, along with the local government officials of the barangay witnessing the most awaited presentation of the Evangelical Achievers’ Academy Drum & Lyre Corps. Led by the band major from the high school department, the Drum & Lyre Corps successfully delivered their show. It was the debut show of the school after two long years of the pandemic.
The motorcade is an indication that the feast has started and to formally open and welcome the festival of the barangay.
Pista sa Iponan is more than just a display of colorful costumes, graceful dances, and pageantry but is celebrated in honor of the abundance the barangay has, the commemoration of St. Guillermo, and thanksgiving for the community’s harvest.
Along with the community, the school will also commemorate its 23rd Founding Anniversary this coming February 24-25, 2023. Celebrating its 23rd birthday, the academy looks back from its humble beginnings to reach the success it has today. For over two decades, the Evangelical Achievers’ Academy continually dedicates its passion to its children in shaping and nurturing them to become competent in the real world.
The school and the Iponan community share a mutual bond of the relationship as they spread to build a safe space for the children, where it depicts the life lived by the people as harmonic and peaceful. Educating children to know, serve, and love others and God is what the school administration’s vision is.
