Automotive aerodynamics is the study of the aerodynamics of road vehicles. Its main goals are reducing drag and wind noise, minimizing noise emission, and preventing undesired lift forces and other causes of aerodynamic instability at high speeds. Air is also considered a fluid in this case. For some classes of racing vehicles, it may also be important to produce downforce to improve traction and thus cornering abilities.

This was my first design on my CO2 railcar. In the flow sim i had trouble with the front of my car.

My car design
After I took it off the 3d printer I sanded the car down using some sandpaper. I decided that I wanted to hydro dip my car becasue I wanted it to be ashetical appealing. I decided to go with an American theme naming the car "The Freeedom Car". The hyro-dipping process was supper easy all I had to do was place the American flag film into the water and wait for it to cure and then I just dipped it. I think my car came out looking great after the hydro dipping it.

My first race time was 1.042 seconds. This was my fastest time racing my co2 railcar. I beat eli .030 of a second.

My second race was 1.083 which was much more slower than the first time I raced. I really didnt know why I kept getting slower times. I think it was to due to the traction that I was getting. I ended up beat will, he had a time of 1.195 seconds.

My third race was 1.099 seconds. I was still having issues with slower times but colin had a score of 1.024 seconds which was still faster than my first time.
