Super Thinker: You'll get better and better at figuring out if something is real or if it's just someone's opinion or even a trick!
Use Good Information for School: When you write a report or do a project, your teacher wants you to use information you can trust. Being a smart detective helps you identify trustworthy sources, making your work even more effective.
Big Kid Research: Learning to be a good information detective now means you'll be a pro when you get to middle school, high school, and even college! You'll know how to find what you need and recognize it as good stuff.

When selecting sources for research or projects.
Evaluate websites for school projects
Analyze and verify sources and information- being a fact-checker
You have two new ways to check information. Putting them together makes a super team!
Use SIFT first: When you encounter new information online, apply the SIFT method to help combat misinformation. Consider using SIFT as a safety check to ensure something appears safe.
Use CRAAP second: After the source passes the SIFT check, apply the CRAAP method to go more in-depth with the criteria of sources. Think of using CRAAP as a magnifier, looking more in detail at what the source actually is.Â
