FIRST LEGO League Starting Point Strategies

Do you measure distances to all things on the mat?
- Create a chart
- Avoid Point and Shoot Method deployed by many
- You are not SpaceX

Strategy: Create zones/grouping for board breakdown?

Mindset: The Martian "Do The Math!"

Wheel circumference
- diameter and width is written on drive tires
- unit on tires are mm so convert to inches
- Hint: balloon or EV3 is 6.91 inches so can you figure out how I calculated this?
- Determine distance with rotations, seconds, and degrees to travel 1 inch
  - This leads you to use of MATH BLOCKS!
    - A*B
    - A = distance travelled in inches
    - B = number of degrees to travel 1 inch
