About the Members

My name is Sophia Whipple and I am a 17 year old living in Seattle.

I spend a lot of my free time acrylic painting and spending time with my family and puppy!

My favorite subject in school is art, but if that’s cheating then I would say math. Probably because it’s more straightforward and familiar to me.

 A volunteer trip to Guatemala made me realize how important it is that we all work together to strive for a better future. I realized Esperanzas Unidas was an amazing opportunity to teach and empower students, while also learning more about the culture and expanding my perspective.
