Riga Airport is a major travel hub, and many national airlines have code-share flights with airBaltic, the Latvian national airline. Riga is also served by the low-budget air company RyanAir.

The special price per night for a standard room, including breakfast, wifi, complementary tea and coffee in the room and ironing facilities, is 75 euros for single room and 85 euros for a double room. An additional city tax of 1 euro per person must be paid on arrival at the hotel.

There is a regular city bus (Line 22) that travels from a stop near the exit from the Arrivals hall. It leaves every 10-25 minutes, depending on the time of day. It takes 26 minutes to get to the “Nacionala biblioteka” stop and 29 minutes for the trip back to the airport.
You can buy tickets at the Narvesen kiosks in the airport terminal and arrivals hall. A ticket for one ride costs 1.50 euros. You can also buy a ticket from the airport bus driver for 1.81 euros, paying by card only. Other public transport routes in Riga do not allow ticket purchases from the driver.

A taxi ride to the hotel takes 15 - 25 minutes (approximate charge EUR 15 - EUR 25). You can use the Bolt app to secure a lower fare.
By car, from the airport, take Jurmala Highway into K. Ulmana Gatve. Exit before the river, go around the circle and take the third right on Mukusalas Street. Go under the bridge, and the hotel will be on the left. The journey is around 20 minutes.
Local time in Latvia is Eastern European Time (EET). This is may be one or two hours later than in your country. For example, 9 AM in Latvia is 8 AM in Norway (CET) and 7AM in Ireland (GMT).
Latvia is a euro zone country since 2014. Almost all shops and cafes accept card payments. If you take cash from an automated banking machine you will probably have a service charge.
December in Latvia is cold, averaging around -3 to 1 degrees Celsius during the day. Please bring layers and suitable outerwear for cold weather and an umbrella for probable rain/snow/sleet.
Since you will be walking and taking public transport, please bring comfortable, sturdy footwear. Latvia is quite flat, but some areas have uneven pavement, and Riga Old Town has cobblestone streets.
