On January 19th our wonderful Booster Club hosted their Annual Dinner & Auction. This event was a huge success and gets better every year. We want to thank all of the Booster Club members, supporters, and local businesses that donated time, effort, and even goods.
Eureka FFA wouldn't be able to support its members as well as it does without your help.
From January 14-15th, 20 members traveled to Santa Rosa to attend the Made for Excellence & Advanced Leadership Academy conferences.Â
We had 5 members attend the Made for Excellence conference, which is for Sophomores and Juniors, or anyone who hasn’t attended the event before. In this conference members learn the basics of leadership and how to work in a team.Â
In the Advanced Leadership Academy we had 15 members attend. This was crafted for Juniors and Seniors that have a special interest in leadership. During this conference members joined a team, and worked with other chapter members to work through the process and issues that arise with working as a successful team.Â
Thank you Austin & Piper for visiting us last week!Â
Students were able to attend a few different workshops hosted by them. The officers were also able to stay for our December meeting!
Our officer team took them to Teppanyaki and Living the Dream Ice Cream for a taste of Old Town Eureka.Â
 Thanks to all of our students that came and had fun last night! It’s a great experience and free pizza always tastes better!
This is an annual event! If these photos got you interested, you can always go next year.
Thank you for coming to our Dutch Lottery!
This year is the first time we’ve been back in the Cafeteria in awhile! We’re so happy to be back in person with a sit down dinner.Â
The Dutch Lottery is one of our biggest fundraisers and helps our CLD and LDE teams travel in the spring! Thank you for supporting us! Â
Congratulations to three of our Officers who won Outstanding awards for their positions.
🥇Brennig Davies-Hughes, Outstanding Vice PresidentÂ
🥇Karsyn Hammer, Outstanding Secretary
🥇Ethan Peña, Outstanding TreasurerÂ
This year we had a novice team compete along side our officer team! This is a new division in our sectional competition. This team consisted of: Maddy Van Vleck, Jake Van Reusen, Maleah Frank, Michael German, West Kijsriopas, Aliyah Jimenez.Â
Our Novice team won gold in the competition! Congratulations!Â
Our Officer team won silver in the competition!Â
Recently members from our chapter attended our section’s leadership night! This included 120 members from all around the Humboldt Del-Norte section and was hosted by our North Coast Region officers.Â
Our members mingled and created connections with others in FFA. They attended 3 workshops put on by the Regional officers and learned about how to become a better leader for their own chapter.Â
Congratulations Jackson Hammer, Kadence Toland, and Jaiden Kilby for their achievement of the American Degree!
This degree is the highest you can earn within the FFA Organization. To do so you need to have earned or invested at least $10,000 into an SAE, 50 community service hours, a State Degree, and many more requirements.Â
Our chapter is very proud of these three members that have gone above and beyond the standard expectations of FFA members.
On the fourth day and our last day in Indianapolis, members;
Started our day off with the American Degree Ceremony. Where we watched one of our Alumni, Jackson Hammer, walk the stage and get his very own degree. There will be a post dedicated to him and his achievement next.Â
Next our members visited the Indiana State Capital. Seeing the sights and climbing the 330 steps, equivalent to 20 flights, of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument.Â
After these activities we started our day-long journey home with a flight to Oakdale, with a layover in Phoenix, Arizona.
Going on this trip has been a life changing experience for many in the past and it continues to do so today. On behalf of the students that attended this year we would like to thank all who supported them in their respective fundraising and our own raffle supporting the trip.
On the third day our members;
 Toured the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, learning about its history and got to do the “kiss the bricks” tour.Â
Our attending members continued to explore the college expo.Â
Explored the Indianapolis Zoo and saw many different kinds of animals.Â
Watched the Pacers vs. Cavilers game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, cheering on the Pacers watching them win the game! Â
On the second day our members;
Explored careers and opportunities at the Expo. Networking with industry leaders and seeing what they could be interested in the coming future.Â
Attended the second session, heard Karstyn Cantrell’s retiring address, and watched FFA talent from New Mexico and our very own North Coast Region, Santa Rosa FFA, Adrian Soto!
Went out to dinner with Fortuna FFA at Rick’s Cafe BoatyardÂ
On November 1st members from our chapter attended the Opening session for the 96th Annual FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. After opening session we also were able to go to the Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo!Â
So far we have really had a blast on this trip. If you’re interested in getting more involved with Eureka FFA, please get in contact with an advisor or ask any officer about future opportunities. We’d love to have you.Â
Recently O&M Industries stopped by Ms. Mullen’s Agriculture Mechanics classes to give a presentation on sheet metal. This gave students a glimpse into local industry and potential future careers.Â
We would like to extend a thanks to O&M Industries for sharing their valuable time with us.Â
First off, congratulations to our nominee, Lily Williamson, for being voted in the top 10 to make it onto the homecoming court! 🎉
The theme this year was “EHS Travels Through Time” and I personally believe Eureka FFA blew it out of the water! Our float was “Agriculture Through the Ages.” With the front having representations of agriculture in the late 1920s and the back having examples of modern day farming.Â
I want to extend much gratitude on behalf of the whole Officer team to all that supported the creation of this float! Special thanks to those who brought animals and dedicated time out of their day to put the whole thing together. We couldn’t be so awesome without you.Â
On October 4th Greenhands from around the section met in Fortuna. They learned about FFA, made connections, and had a great time!
If you didn’t get to go and it looks like something you would have loved to do, there will be many more opportunities to attend conferences soon!Â
On September 16th your Eureka FFA Officers attended the North Coast Chapter Officer Leadership Conference!Â
Eureka FFA is well represented in the North Coast Region as we have two officers on the team this year! Charli Roberts as the Humboldt Del Norte Vice President and Lily Williamson as the Secretary. They helped put on the conference and ran workshops for the North Coast Region!Â
Yesterday each of your local chapter officers attended workshops created by the North Coast Region officers to help us become better leaders for you all.Â
This is just one of the many amazing trips/conferences you get to attend as an officer with Eureka FFA.Â
On September 14th we had 14 members from Eureka FFA attend the Redwood Region Resource Rally.Â
Our students went to both the Agriculture Production Tour and the Forestry Mill Tour. They talked to people in industry and learned more about potential future careers.Â
From September 10-11th your officers met other chapter officers across the Humboldt Del Norte Section.
We developed close relationships with other chapters, practiced our roles, and worked together through many different scenarios.Â
It was a blast this year and your officers are now more ready to lead you through our many adventures to come!Â
On August 3rd our officers met to discuss events, the chapter theme, and what this year holds for the Eureka chapter. We are excited to introduce incoming freshman to the adventure that Ag is at Eureka High!
Eureka FFA was well represented at Humboldt County Fair this year, with many different species of animals, and very large showing teams!
