Eureka FFA. Who are we?
Eureka FFA is one of the seven chapters in the Humboldt Del-Norte Section. We have over 350 active members. Once a month we host a meeting. We provide dinner and a game for any Ag student at Eureka High.
FFA stands for the Future Farmers of America. The FFA's mission has three parts:
Developing competent and assertive agricultural leadership
Increasing awareness of the global and technological importance of agriculture and its contribution to our well-being
Strengthening the confidence of agriculture students in themselves and their work
What do we do?
Eureka FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of local students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through our amazing advisor's knowledge and wisdom.
The three ring model of Agriculture Education? What is it?
Agriculture Education in the United States uses a three-circle model of teaching. The three rings are classroom (instruction), leadership development (FFA), and experimental learning (SAE).
What opportunities will I have in this chapter?
Throughout the year our chapter holds many events, fundraisers, and volunteers for community service. We also have many LDE and CDE teams that travel to different colleges around California. Every year we also go to the State Conference where you can meet members of California FFA from every different chapter. When FFA is brought up one of the most common questions after is; what do you raise? With Eureka FFA you have the choice to raise every kind of animal at fair with support from our wise advisors.
