EU Plant is the voice of the European young plant producers, representing their interests in research and production plants of horticultural and ornamental young plant species.

EU Plant groups 7 national associations based in United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Turkey , representing several hundreds production nurseries.

Mission

• Ensure that the sector develops itself further in an economically healthy, innovative and diverse way
• Create the best possible international business environment for the young plants production sector on behalf of, and in close cooperation with its members.
• Enhance a world in which the young plants production provides a maximum contribution to important and relevant social goals like food security and food safety, sustainability, product quality, diversity and well-being in a healthy living environment.

History

EU Plant was founded on 9th January 2007 by 7 national young plants associations having a single vision : to constitute a single European entity that could represent them in front of the various European bodies.

The constituents had already begun to talk to each other in 2003 by promoting a series of meetings for the exchange of information between different countries

EU Plant was officially established in 2007 as a non-profit association following Belgian Law.
