Euler's activities to enjoy the fun while it still lasts

As the school year slowly comes to an end, the graduating students of 12 – Euler begin clearing out their desks—removing old papers, forgotten notes, and the small things that quietly filled our days. The classroom that once buzzed with discussions and deadlines starts to feel different. There is a strange mix of excitement and nostalgia in the air, because while we look forward to what comes next, we also realize that our time together is almost over.

During these final days, many of us have found ourselves spending more time outside than inside the classroom. Under the warm afternoon sun, the court and open spaces around the school become gathering places where classmates meet, laugh, and compete. What started as simple games during free time slowly turned into moments that brought everyone closer together.

Sports like volleyball and basketball often become the center of attention. A quick rally in volleyball or a fast break in basketball is enough to pull a crowd together. Even those who aren’t playing usually end up watching, cheering, or joking from the sidelines. But it isn’t only the common sports that fill these afternoons. Sometimes the games go back to something simpler—traditional Filipino children’s games like tag or Langit-Lupa. In those moments, everyone seems to forget about grades, projects, and the pressure of graduating. For a while, we are just students enjoying the time we have left.

These activities may look like simple games, but they carry something more meaningful. Physical activity is often overlooked in the middle of busy school schedules and academic expectations. Yet when we run, jump, and play together, it reminds us how important it is to step away from stress and reconnect with one another. Sports give us a reason to move, to laugh, and to share small victories—whether it’s a well-timed spike in volleyball, a lucky three-pointer in basketball, or simply managing to stay on “langit” long enough to avoid being tagged.

More importantly, sports become a space where friendships grow naturally. Teammates encourage each other, opponents laugh at mistakes, and strangers on the sidelines slowly become part of the conversation. In a class where everyone has different personalities and interests, these games become a common ground. They remind us that connection doesn’t always come from long conversations; sometimes it comes from shared moments of effort, teamwork, and fun.

As graduation approaches, we begin to realize that these small afternoons under the sun might be some of the moments we remember the most. Years from now, when we look back on our time in senior high, we might not remember every lesson from our textbooks. But we will remember the sound of the ball hitting the court, the cheers from friends, the laughter after someone trips during tag, and the feeling of being surrounded by people who shared this short chapter of life with us.

In the end, these games were never just about winning or losing. They were about spending time together while we still could. They were about strengthening bonds that were built throughout the year and turning ordinary days into memories worth keeping.

As the students of 12 – Euler move forward toward college and new paths, these moments remind us of something simple but important: sometimes the best way to connect with others is not through words or achievements, but through the joy of playing together under the sun.
