For our last performance task in Media and Information Literacy, we made a food vlog at Cogeo Banchetto. At night, the place is filled with bright food stalls, loud music, and people everywhere enjoying different kinds of street food. We found a table and tried several dishes like takoyaki, chicken katsu curry, jumbo siomai, nachowarma, and tusok tusok.
Each of us also had different drinks such as iced coffee, milk tea, and fruit shakes. While filming, we gave our own descriptions and ratings for every food we tried. In between bites, we talked, laughed, and even randomly sang along whenever a familiar song started playing loudly in the area. At first, we were focused on filming clips and making sure we had enough content for our vlog. But as the night went on, it started to feel less like a performance task and more like a simple night out together.
In the end, the experience became more memorable than the vlog itself. It was a meaningful way to end our last performance task—by sharing everlasting nostalgia with every bite.
